Allow Mobile Devices to Send Mail Over WIFI

My mail server is exchange 2003 ent sp2 running on windows 2003 ent.  Mobile devices who are using IMAP configurations are having unable to send mail when connected to a WIFI network.  When connected to the cellular network it works fine.

    looks like they are connected to the external name which is nor resolvable internally by your DNS server, or the WIFI access doesn't provide SMTP access.

    This is caused b/c the ISP for the WIFI network maybe blocking the smtp port 25.  As such, you may want to change the smtp port on your device to 587 or 465(secure) if possible.

    i am set for 587.  i called verizon wireless and they advised me that some mail servers blocked WIFI access to them from cellular devices.  Is this true?  If it is, is there a fix?
