embed PDF in HTML Pages for iPad

I would like to embed PDF Files in my HTML 5 Web-Page for iPads. I dont want to use the  iPad pdf reader because I want the user to stay within my website and still use and see my navigation. I already tried with embed tag (only shows the 1st page of the pdf and no scrolling) and iframes etc. I also want the user to zoom in/scroll etc.

I found a solution, where you first convert the pdf into swf, but i would like to have a reals pdf view.

Hi indigo555,

I don't think there's a good way to do it even with HTML5 components.  This has been a fairly big flaw in the iPad browser from day 1 and the iPad2 appears to have done nothing to fix it.  Browser detection and offering a link instead of an embed to the iDevices seems to be your only choice.

but I'm wondering why the embed is actually showing a part of the pdf, but not all....ist there a chance to enlarge the visible pdf area?

The embed command is weirdly supported in Safari and it can't be scrolled even from the desktop version.  Again, it's a flaw that originates with Apple and thus you are not going to get very far with this until Apple fixes Safari.
