ActiveX error in Outlook

I'm using Outlook 2003 SP3 under Windows XP SP3.

Recently I've been getting an error message whenever I create an e-mail. It says:

"One or more ActiveX controls could not be displayed because either:
1) Your current security setting prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page, or
2) You have blocked a publisher of one of the controls.
As a result the page may not display properly."

When I "OK" this, my e-mail proforma appears and works normally.

This doesn't happen if I forward or rspond to an e-mail, only if I create a new one. The proforma has been in use for a long time before this error started and I've not changed it recently.

Please can you help me resolve this error?

Looks like your Signatures have something in them. You must have copied that from a webpage or an other email which will also copy ActiveX Control. Also if there are any graphics in your signatures they can also create this issue.
I would recomend disable your signature and then create an emai to see id you get the problem.
If this help then you might have to create the signatures again.

I had same issue with quite few user on my domain.

I've never used a signature, but to be sure I looked under tools\options\mail format and can see <None> twice under Signatures. I have several e-mail addresses and have checked them all - they are all the same.
However you put me on the right track. I am using custom stationery, and when I chenged to  <blank>, the problem disappeared, and re-appeared when I used the previous default stationery. So I've re-created it and it works fine now.
Thanks
