I confirmed that this issue is related to Visual Studio being installed on a SharePoint server. I have it in my test environment only so I will just ignore it. I didn't have in my production when updating. Thanks for you time helping me with this.

I started getting the attached unhandled exception when installing Cumulative Updates on the SharePoint 2010 test server. I was able to successfully install the update but I would like to know what it is and how to fix it before I start installing it on the production box. <br />
