How can I change my checkout so NEW customer is selected by default instead of EXISTING customers

I would like to know how on the default checkout login / register page to change it so

   1. “New customer?” - is pre-selected and expanded by default
   2. Keep the ‘Returning customer’ expanded by default

Does anyone know how to do this?

    Its an interesting issue and one I havent thought about but most customers are new and not existing.

    If that thread doesnt work ill have a look as im sure my clients would want this.

    Thanks for the thread, client decided not to bother with the feature so I will close this question without testing but it may help others in the future
