how to configure remote access vpn in cisci

Hi Experts,

i want to practice remote access vpn in gns 3.  i have installed two vm machine, one is in cloud 1 which is attached to pix interface, other vm machine is in cloud 2 which is attached to other cloud 2 attached to router. i want to create vpn in pix and than from vm machine 2 which is attached to router should be able to connect to vpn by giving user name and password in cisco vpn client.

problem which i am facing is that vm machine of cloud 2 is able to ping the router but it is not able to ping pix interface i.e 157.55.1.254

please point me to right direction so that i can solve this peoblem.

Did you check your routing tables on the router?

yes i checked routing table.

Is this PIX 6.3 or PIX/ASA 7.x+?

Can you ping PIX/ASA outside interface from the router?
-      Yes: the router is not configured properly
-      No: verify the PIX/ASA config for the following line icmp deny any outside or any variations
