    Assisted Solution

Alot of people think increasing there wireless speed is going to make browsing the internet faster, which is most of the time not true. If you are using a N wireless signal, chances are you wireless connection is at a minimum of ten times faster than your internet speed. Average connection speed for your wireless is prolly 65 mbps, which is light years faster than your internet. Most people have maybe a 10 meg connection for internet, so if your signal strength for your wireless connection is low (connected @ 15-20 mbps), you are still connected and browsing at the maximum speed you can browse. Why do you think you need to make it faster? Are you streaming data from one pc to another locally?

    Accepted Solution

Make sure your wireless router is wireless N and don't place it near metal objects which can interfere with the signal and degrade it. Place the router higher up, like on a shelf.
