Actually I had already tried that several different ways and it did not work. However I was able to solve the problem by running Autostarts from the Sysinternals Suite of tools and removing a couple of references to the DLM. No more errors in the logs.

Cryptographic Services failed while processing the OnIdentity() call in the System Writer Object.<br />

AddWin32ServiceFiles: Unable to back up image of service getPlusHelper since QueryServiceConfig API failed<br />

The system cannot find the file specified.<br />

The getPlusHelper is apparently related to the Adobe download manager. Adobe reader was installed on the server. In the services list I see getHelperPlus listed but it is not running. If I try and start it I get an error. I have tried removing and reinstalling Adobe reader but it did not help. My guess is that this a refernce to an old version of getHelperPlus that was removed during an update. Any ideas how to go about eliminating the error?
