Info on Microsoft Foundation Server 2008
I have some trouble running an application (Quickbooks Accounting Software) on SBS 2008 and have been looking for an inexpensive alternatives. What are the differences between server 2008 and Foundation server 2008. Can the OS uses as an application server?

I am not sure what you mean by playing nice but Foundation Server is only an OS – a scaled down version of Windows Server – and it doesn’t include Exchange and SQL as in SBS.
I am not sure that you can just plug it in an existing AD environment with all limitations that it has. It’s really for SOHO market segment.
