I am looking for an application to allow me to carry out capacity/stress testing of applications on my platform. However, my requirement is a little different to the normal web server testing.<br />

Although I have standard websites which need to be tested, I also have a series of external devices that communicate with my platform which send data specific to our own proprietary applications. Therefore, I need a testing application that allows me to customise test data flows so that I can replicate my device specific traffic.<br />

My platform is Windows Server based.<br />

Can anyone suggest anything suitable ? I am looking to generate test connections up to tens of thousands.

Software is any set of instructions that directs a computer to perform specific tasks or operations. Computer software consists of programs, libraries and related non-executable data (such as documentation). Computer software is non-tangible, contrasted with computer hardware, which is the physical component of computers. Software written in a machine language is known as "machine code". However, in practice, software is usually written in high-level programming languages than machine language. Network Analysis

IIS is Internet Information Services, the web server included with Windows Server operating systems. All current versions are built on a modular architecture; modules can be added or removed individually so that those required for specific functionality are installed. The full installation of IIS includes HTTP, security, content, compression, caching, logging and diagnostics.
