However if you still want to use IE , Make sure you disable all the unnecessary addons  like google  tool bar .. etc

What anti virus program do you have ? It may be causing this. I would also try to reinstall IE and see if you have any luck with that.

You can also try to restore defaults within the the settings of IE. If you do not know where this is, let me know, and I'll be glad to explain more. Finally, if you still can't get this to work try uninstalling and reinstalling IE.

From MS Site

To uninstall Internet Explorer

The following instructions apply to both Windows 7 and Windows Vista.

   1.

Click the Start button Picture of the Start button, type Programs and Features in the search box, and then click View installed updates in the left pane.
   2.

Under Uninstall an update, scroll down to the Microsoft Windows section.
   3.

Right-click Windows Internet Explorer 9, click Uninstall, and then, when prompted, click Yes.
   4.

      Click one of the following:
          *

Restart now (to finish the process of uninstalling Internet Explorer 9, and restore the previous version of Internet Explorer).
          *

Restart later (to wait until you shut down or restart your computer).

Before you uninstall IE9 make sure you have a way to get back on the Internet. I'd install Firefox or download IE9 to your local computer. That way when you uninstall IE9 you will have the setup program to install it immediately. You could also do this from Windows Update, but the way stated would be my preference.
