call phone number using Skype

I have an Access 2007 database and have a contact's number with the international dialing code added +44 xxx xxx xxxx (exapmple).  What I want is to double click on the phone number and dials the number in Skype.  I have added the Skype4com.dll but need some help in dialing the number.  I see a lot of code for recording calls and sending sms but nothing for just dialing the number in Skype.  Any one can help with this?

This thread asked by ptruswell (UK) has a lot of good info about what you are trying to do.  The additions by harfang are particularly helpful.

You have your numbers properly formatted with the plus sign and the international country code in a table.

In a small form you are able to view the numbers in a combo box.  When you click on a number,  in the click event of the combo box insert this code:

Private Sub cboSkypeNos()
  Application.FollowHyperlink "callto:" & Me.cboSkypeNos
End Sub

You will have to click Continue on a couple of popups, but Skype will dial that number.   Of course xxx xxx xxxx being some real number in the UK.  I'm not sure of the format for UK numbers - cboSkypeNos being the name of the combo box.  There were instructions in the referenced thread about getting rid of the popups.
