While trying to forward an mail, the user is getting the attached error message. I've also attached the log file. He's using Lotus Notes 8.0.2. I even removed and re-installed Lotus Notes...still same error

Have you checked whether the user's mail file information has been explicitly added in their location document?  This omission can sometimes cause an issue with forwarding mail.
I've seen this with a number of different circumstances:
 - virus checking
 - corrupt full text index
 - corrupt database
 - corrupt Notes install

Things to check:
Open the users mail file on a different Notes client, and try to forward the same mail.  Is mail local or on the server?  Delete and recreate the full text index.
Reinstall Notes client.

Next time, please don't attach bitmap files, but use JPEG or GIF format... much smaller files.

Agree with Lars: some corruption took place. The database might also need to be compacted/repaired/fixed, a view may have gone corrupt. Try also to remove cache.ndk, but stop Notes first.

The problem is still there.
What did you do exactly, what suggestions did you follow? Just saying "the problem's still there" doesn't really help us much, we're not clairvoyant most of the time...
I uninstalled and reinstalled Notes...did all the fixup, updall, compaq, virus check etc..But still had the same pronlem.
Create fresh new database and replicated ..still the same. At the end of teh day, I installed Lotus Notes 6.5.4 and it worked fine.....

At some stage I will upgrade this user to 8.5
Better use R8.5.2 or later, not R8.5 and certainly not R8.5.1.
in my previous comment a35511196 i have recommended installing the Fix Pack , performing an upgrade to version 8.5 and I posted some links for that ,,, I wonder if you have gone through them ???

Thats what I did yesterday and it seems to have fixed the problem. I don't knwo who to attribute the points to. I will leave that to you

Thanks

There are many options to get a question closed, see also https://www.experts-exchange.com/help.jsp#hs=29&hi=407

In this case, the upgrade seems to have been the most helpful, so you might consider to grant akhafaf the (majority of the) points.
