Prevent pagebreak between sections of a crystal report

I have a report with several sections. Each section contains several fields.
Some of the fields have a variable height, that's why consecutive fields had to be put into other sections.
Now I need to prevent page-break between different sections. And not just within a section.
So how to keep two sections together without a pagebreak?

Any idea how this could be achieved?

Thanks a lot

If you just want the report to flow continuously with no enforced page breaks you should make sure that
a) no page break settings are checked and
b) no Keep Together settings are checked anywhere in the report.

we need to sections to stick together.
I.e. if there is not enough space for BOTH SECTIONS on one page, then both sections should go to the next page.
That is the goal.
(Sorry for not being clear enough)

If say, you have 2 details sections, Detailsa and detailsb then you can apply a Keep Together for the Details section in the Section Expert.

However if you have Detailsa and Detailsb and Detailsc  and you just want to keep Dband Dc together then I don't see any way to do this in your situation.  You can sometimes do line counting to get the current position on the page to work out if you can fit the next section on the page, but if you are using Can Grow settings then I don't see that line counting is possible.

Maybe you can look at introducing dummy groups at detail level and maybe use a combination of Detail sections and Group Footers to achieve what what you want, but without knowing the full details of the problem it is hard to say much.

it is regarding an invoice

where the details are all invoice lines.
Then there are two sections with totals and explanation about the invoice
All of those three sections should stay together.

Then there is a variable height footer-text.
And as a last section the greetings.
Again those two parts should stay together.

So you have

Details
  Details A
  Details B
  Details C

Or do you have

Details
Group Footer

If all sections are really 1 section tyou can try using the KEEP TOGETHER on the full section

If you are trying to keep 2 different sections together there is no way with the keep togethers to get that to happen.

Will the sections always fit on 1 page?
If so you may have to put that part of the report into a subreport.  You can then use the subreport keep together option

Please see below the design of the report
This is the design of the report. Area 1,3 and 4 can grow. Area 1-3 and 4-5 should stick together

And the preview
This is how the report looks like in preview. Area 1-3 and Area 4-5 should stay together

Again:
Area 1-3 should always be on the same page = A
Area 4-5 should always be on the same page = B

Area 1,3 and 4 can grow.

If all fit on one page than they should be all on one page.
Just no pagebreak between 1-3 and none between 4-5

Thanks

AS I suggested earlier , you need to create a dummy group - just create a formula field with value = 1 and group on that.

Then put what you currently have in RptFooterA into the group footer and delete RptFooterA.

You can then set the group (which would contain 1 & 2 ) to Keep together and the report footer to Keep together.

What version?

Can you show the full screen shot rather than the small area.  Include the tool bars

what do you need to see on the full screen?
What info do you need?

I think a picture of the  Help>AboutCrystalReports dialog box would be of interest..

I mainly want to see the title bar and the menu bars.

What you have shown doesn't look at all like any version of Crystal I have seen.

Crystal uses names like
Details
Group Header1

If you have multiple details sections then
Details A
Details B
Details C

mlmcc
I have never seen it use SECTION as part of the section name
