MSDTC Error

I keep getting a MSDTC error - event code 4198 on my storage drive.  I am running Windows Server 2003.  This device is only used for storage.  My server just shuts down with no warning or error, except what I see in the Event log.  One fix I found out was to replace or restore the comdes.dll file.  When I try to do it, it tells me that it is running and is being used by another process.  How can I do this without shutting down the system and fix this error.  The device has no viruses on it and there are no other errors present.  There is no low memory error, either.  Please help.  This just started a couple of days ago.

first try net stop msdtc and then net start msdtc if this doesn`t fix the issues thenrefer below link to fix the issue

Belfegor - Yes.  muzafar - I have this link and that is why I have the question.  My storage server is shutting down for no  reason.  No errors, no warnings, but this is the only thing that I see in the event viewer as an error, other than event ID 1090 - that deals with group policy.  I don't think that either one of these errors should shut down my system.

fix the event id errors (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/164903/en-us) and check server status again
