Exchagne 2007 Cross-Mailbox Searching Deleted Items

I have a quick question with regard to the Exchagne 2007 commands detailed on this page:

They are in regard to searching all mailboxes and copying mails based on a keyword to a select location, the command is:
get-mailbox –Database DB1 | Export-Mailbox –SubjectKeywords "Discovery Keywords" –TargetMailbox Administrator –TargetFolder 'MyData'

Does this search items that have been deleted (and deleted from outlook's "deleted items") but are still within exchanges "Keep deleted items for X days" (Mailbox Database Properties -> Limits -> Deletion Settings)? If not, is there a way to search this mail?

    Accepted Solution

No.  If the item was deleted from user, and then deleted from deleted items, the only way to get it back in searchable form is recover the mailbox if it's still within the time frame that you specified.  If it's outside the time frame, you will need to use a backup.
