Learning C# - Need a good book

I recently completed 3 semesters of Java Programming, and now I need to learn C# for setting up Sequel databases with Access front ends.  I don't have any experience using Java in the field.  Can someone recommend a good book?  Also, is there anything out there worth looking at that discusses the differences between Java and C#?

If you had to buy one book, buy one that includes a lot of coverage of the .NET platform. I tend to prefer these books over syntax only books.

It is very important to learn correct syntax. I would suggest that you start off with "Microsoft Visual C# 2008 Step-By-Step" or 2010 by John Sharp. This book has pictures and working examples, a cd with exercises, and ebooks for portable e-learning.

I would also suggest that you get a good reference book like.

"The C# Programming Language" 3rd or 4th edition's. By Anders Hejlsberg, Mads Torgersen, Scott Wiltamuth, Peter Golde.

"C# 4.0 In A Nutshell" by Joseph Albahart & Ben Albahart.

A good example of differences between C# and Java are defined here.
