Apple xServe RAID IP address issue

Is it better to have an Apple xServe RAID (not the server...the RAID) on DHCP or set to a Static IP address? Currently it's DHCP which looses it's connection to the monitoring app when restarted. Thx!

    Accepted Solution

I would give it a static IP. DHCP simplifies management of a large number of computers but for network storage, servers, etc. I always use static IP.
