Delete locked file?

We're having problems with our Citrix Profile Management utility.  I believe the cause is a file called LockFile - if I can delete it, I think we'll be OK.  Unfortunately, I cannot delete it.  When I try to delete from the local machine, I get "Access denied" - when I delete via network share, it appears to go away but when I refresh it comes back.  I've tried taking ownership as domain admin, but not only did it fail, I cannot view the current owner or current permissions.

I have tried the freeware tool unlocker via network share and local machine, as well as Emco's UnlockIT.  UnlockIT will not run because the file server is a Server Core (2008R2) install.

Any ideas?

Carl:  Not sure how FireFox figures in?

Clonyxlro:  I had considered the knoppix idea, but I can't take down the server until after hours.  However, the utility you linked did show something interesting - the file is not actually locked,  It appears there are some strange security settings preventing me from accessing it.  Any suggestions for tools to address this?

Carl:  Yes, they are using Firefox, but this lockfile is not from Firefox, it's from Citrix UPM.

3.1.1.2 - it is not the newest, but I have never had trouble with it until 2 days ago.

If you have UPM, do you have Platinum licenses?  If so, call Citrix support.  I can't find anything related to this problem.

We only have enterprise.  Tonight, after hours, I'm going to try a knoppix boot CD and see where we land.  I'll update accordingly, thanks!
