Get Id by request query string from url by share point

How I can get the passing parameter id from a url by using query string in  share point and need to store this id to a share point control text box field.

    function getQueryParam(key) {
    var regex = new RegExp(key+"=([^&=]+)","i");
    var match = regex.exec( window.location );
    if( match != null ) {
    return match[1];
    } else {
    return null;
    call it like this getQueryParam("id");
