Cisco AIR-AP-1231G-A-K9 Settings Will Not Reset
I have three AIR-AP1231G-A-K9 access points that were bought used off of Ebay. We have bought about 20 of these and I have been able to successfully reset and reconfigure all of them but these three. No matter what I try, they are still able to keep their settings and in turn keep me out. If I hold down the Mode button, unplug power, plug power back in and wait for it to turn Amber and let go, it does not reset the settings. When it powers up the 3 lights on top flash in rainbow sequence; bottom green, middle red, and top amber over and over again. I plugged in a console cable and am unable to enter into the configuration that way as well. I tried resetting and when I try to login using Cisco/Cisco it keeps telling me invalid login. Any ideas would be appreciated.
The only thing I can think of is that the previous users somehow changed the ROM to always use their settings.
