Steps should be the same as the 11g question you already asked:
http://www.experts-exchange.com/Database/Oracle/Q_26811031.html

What are you thinking is different?

I'll always defer to the online docs:

OK, don't the links above sort of already have the steps or at least get you to the steps?

You can keep repeating that but it still doesn't tell me why the links already posted do not help.

Did you follow the steps from your previous question?  Run the Oracle installer and install ASM?

I don't see how the doc link doesn't help.

Clicking that link takes you to a section titled: Installing ASM

In the first paragraph:  Refer to the Oracle Database Installation Guide for your operating system for details on installing ASM.

This provides a link to the doc home.  On that page you get a link to:
Oracle® Database Installation Guide 10g Release 2 (10.2) for Linux x86

http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/install.102/b15660/inst_task.htm#BABFBBCG

In that document there is a chapter titled:
3.5 Installing Automatic Storage Management

There are the steps...

I'm afraid I'll have to object to you deleting this as a duplicate.

I asked in the first post if the steps were the same.  You kept asking for information so I had to assume it was different.

I believe http:#a35740324 is the correct answer here.
