In windows 2003 AD domain environment with Win XP PCs and multiple share printers one printer takes 11 seconds to initialize printing function. I have tried to change cable, printer settings, drivers with no result. It is always taker more than 10 seconds to start printing.

Thanks in advance

    Assisted Solution

It may be a faulty network (jetdirect) card in the printer.  Do you have a spare to swap out, or maybe borrow one from a working printer to test?  Also, a cold reset may be helpful.

    From HP's web site

Most HP printers with internal HP Jetdirect print servers can be reset to factory defaults (or cold-reset) by turning the printer off and holding down the ONLINE or GO buttons while turning the printer back on. The printer's control panel display should read Cold Reset or Restoring Factory Settings . If the printer has no LCD display, the indicator lights will cycle.
