What SSL certificate type is needed in Microsoft SBS 2011?

What type of SSL cert is needed in SBS2011? In SBS 2008 I used a single domain SSL cert, but now I see you may need a SAN cert/UCC.  I  have searched and can't seem to find a real answer! Can I still use the single domain cert?  What the advantage of a multiple domain cert in SBS environment?

I tend to use QuickSSL certs, namecheap has them relatively cheap.

Also, DynDNS' True BusinessID works well. Both are seamless.

As far as certificates go, nothing has changed between 2008 and 2011. You can make a single name cert work, but some people find UCC certs are easier...same was true in 2008.  If you got a single cert to work in 2008 then you know the process.

As cgaliher stated, you can use either a single or UCC cert.  The only difference is how many names you want it to have.  If you are only certifying one name (like mail.domain.com) then a single cert is fine.

However, if you want to enforce SSL internally and clients are using the machine name (like Exchangeserver or ExchangeServer.internaldomain.local) then you would need a UCC cert to include these names.  Otherwise you get a certificate error stating that the cert does not match the host.
