SBS2008 Internal Web Unable to Connect

Opened the correct ports and cannot connect to internal Company Web. For testing I'm going to https://domainname.com:987 and the site fails.

Try going to https://remote.domain.com or https://remote.domain.com/owa for outlook web access. Unless you made a change during your initial install, it should be remote.domain.com

I installed the certs from the public folder on the remote machine and it's still not working. The cert still fails.

I didn't run the "setup your internet address" so I assume this is the issue, however now that I've done so it doesn't appear the the cert in the public folder has updated, I thought this updated when changes were made. It still shows an old date when it was originally created.

One thing to keep in mind with SBS, you need to do everything with the built in wizards. If you do things manually you will break it. It sounds like you can at least connect to the web site from the outside now, but your probably limited on what you can do without the certificate. You are correct in saying that running the setup the internet address will recreate/renew your certificate. I would try deleting the current certificate in the public folder and re-run the wizard again to see if it adds the new cert.

Thanks Cin, I agree should always use the wizards, sometimes I get ahead of myself. Thanks for the help.
