A user has two messages in his inbox, one being the original message he recevied from a client which holds an important PDF document attached. The other email is a general reply to the original email, however on the replied email he cannot see the attachment and has to revert back to the original.

Is there anyway of changing this ?

Kind regards,

To preserve attachments in the messages, you have to forward them, not reply to them.

Were the attachments automatically included in the replies before? I don't recall Outlook attaching the original file(s) when replying to an email. Outlook will only attach it if the email was forwarded. You will probably need third party tools to automate this or have the user who's replying manually attach the file back if necessary.

I dont recall outlook attaching the original files either but he was persistant and belived it could. He does use Automate Pro to manage his rules only, how can I change this so that it also attaches attachments in replied messages like decribed ?

    Many Thanks !!
