Linked SQL Server Table Won't Open

I have a linked SQL Server 2005 table in an Access 2007 front end accdb and when I try to open the table, the system just hangs up with the hourglass and the table does not open. This is a new tale that I recently upsized after creating it in Access 2007. My other SQL Server linked tables open fine.

You are not really giving us much to go on :-s ...

How large is the SQL Server table?  Does the table have a Primary Key index?  Is the source object a true base table, or is it a View?  Does the Connect property of the troublesome table differ from that of the Connect property of a working linked table object?

Thanks datAdrenaline. The table has 40 records. It has an identity field. Connect string is identical to other tables that open fine. It is a table, not a view.
Does setting a field Identity property to Yes take care of the primary key?

    Accepted Solution

I'm all set. Just had to set the Primary Key in the table design. Thanks!

I am not a point monger and I am cool with whatever is decided, however, it seems as though from the progression of posts, it was my commentary that lead to the solution.  At with the way EE works, points should be awarded accordingly.

    My comment:

Again, I am cool with whatever is decided, so while I did click the "object" button, its more of a "yellow flag" with comment of, "I don't think EE is supposed to work this way".

I am starting the Auto-Close procedure on behalf of the question asker, to close this question, after the 'Objection' by datAdrenaline stopped the procedure. The course of action selected seems the most equitable action to take in this instance.
