Dynamics CRM 4.0 CRM Menu Options no Synchronization Buttom

My salesman's CRM email is not synching with his Outlook.  I asked him to access the CRM menu, options, set personal options to see what is listed under the Synchronization button and he does not have a Synchronization button.  How do I fix this?  I'd rather not reinstalll if possible as he is in Colorado and I am in PA.

Hmm. beginning to wonder whether a re-install might be needed...

I now you want to avoid this but could you do this via remote desktop or some other similar technology?

Did you mean the synchronization tab (rather than button)?

I wonder if your saleman's CRM for Outlook is currently offline?  If so, get him to go online and then try checking.

Yes, I meant Tab.
No, he cannot see the tab when online with CRM.

Does your user have the Sync to Outlook permission?  This can be found on the Business Management tab of the security role.
