Mac OS Snow Leapord connecting to Windows Print Server

I have a Windows Print Server and to add the printers I've shared there I have to do this: http://www.screenr.com/7v8 and I think that process is terrible.  I want something easy like it is on windows where you simply brows over smb to the printer \\printserver\printer

I have 2 MAC Mini's that are integrated into my AD domain. Should I use them as print servers?  What else is there?

Are you just trying to connect the mac to a printer?

If your Mac workstations are bound to AD you should be able to open System Preferences and select Print and Fax and from there click the + to add a printer and from there select Windows. That should give you the ability to scan your network work, find the print server and select the appropriate printer.

I do that, but there are some additional steps as well.  I have to resume and enter my credentials.  I also have to find the right printer drivers.

Do you limit usage by user ID?  I don't in our environment and when I need to print, it just prints. If you need to put creds in up front, you or the user can have it saved in the keychain.  But yes, drivers are a bit of an issue and I don't have an easy workaround for that.
