Active Directory Utility

I am in the process of moving our AD to all new equipment into a hosted environment.  Any recommendations on utilities or tools to migrate all my AD accounts over?

So you are just moving them to new hardware in the same domain.  In that case just join the servers to your current domain and install AD/DNS...AD information will replicate to the new boxes.

Make the new boxes GCs (default in 2008).  If your current box hold FSMO roles you can transfer them over.

Have any clients that use the old boxes for DNS point to the new boxes.

Thanks

same domain, but the new boxes are on a separate network.  i don't have the option to join them to the current domain.

so I'm guessing you can't establish any connectivity period (trusts for example)

correct... i am hoping there is a tool out there to export from one AD and import into my new one for the sake of user and group creation

You can use csvde  http://www.computerperformance.co.uk/Logon/Logon_CSVDE.htm

...but it is not perfect, man if they would just let you join them temporarily.

Thanks
