Might be, Your Installation source is not complete. try installing on another computer.

Huh? I have one server available. what are you suggesting? that this install exe doesnt have all the services?

    Accepted Solution

The server architecture changed with the 3.x platform.  Instead of installing a bunch of servers, only the SIA is instaleld.  Once you've got it running, click the "Manage Servers" button in the CCM and login - you'll be able to see your servers.  Please note, depending how beefy your server is, it might take a couple of minutes for the CMS to come online so you can actually login through Manage Servers - if you get an error, just give it a minute and try again.

Also, because the servers are now managed differently, you no longer set their properties within the CCM. Instead, you'll set them in the CMC under the servers page.

Hey, Didn't realize they don't install all servers anymore, or atleast in the same context.

Ive done what you said and hit manage servers, its asking me for an enterprise or AD/NT password and I havent setup anything yet.... is there a default admin password for CRS 2008?

also, what are the unc paths for the CMC / infoview?

    Author Comment

actually I found them...  for reference these are the paths for CRS  2008 I couldnt hit them from the server box for some reason (probably an iis setting)  but here they are..

Glad I could help!  Any reason you didn't install Tomcat?  I normally install both, but Tomcat is required if you're going to use dashboarding in CRS.  Also, the java web services are required if you're going to use Live Office and/or Xcelsius with CRS.  On a side note, if you ever need to install Edge, it's Java only - no IIS.
