vmware network labels

I need to change the network labels on esxi port group and not sure what will happen.  I know that it is just a friendly name but want to make sure that will not have any issues if I do this.

Thanks

this should not cause any issues, even to vms that are using the portgroup.

It should be fine as mentioned. My recommendation for anything - test! :) You can do this easily if you have another nic available. Just create another VM Network Port Group, assign a nic to it and give it a name. Use a non-production/test VM (or create one; recommend to do so if you have resources...I have 1 and it's an invaluable thing to have), assign the new VM Network port group to the VM. Change the name of the Port Group and you should see no netwk connectivity loss.
