Best way to use outlook 2010 to remind me to follow up on something?

I need to remind myself to follow up on several emails and calendar appointments in outlook on a regular basis.

What is the best way to have outlook remind me to follow up on something?
I know outlook has a follow up option. Is that the best way?

I kind of need to follow up say 3 times on the same email / calendar event sometimes
Ideally I would like a reminder 3 times on different dates.
The calendar is something I check every day. Thinking I will put reminders as all day events - Any thoughts?

Just wanted some advise on best ways to handle such a scenario

    Accepted Solution

I work for myself and I have tried many ways.

For detailed things, you need to use Outlook as it comes.

For major things, I now add the major thing in the subject line of the Calendar Entry. So:

Subject: Client A - run Monthly Operating Reports.
    Location: Anywhere street.

Why? Because when I sync this to my Blackberry, the reminder tells me both who and what in a very simple and unforgettable way. Both my Outlook and my Blackberry beep 15 minutes ahead of time.
