Hello experts,

Got one curious question.

Lets say we have 2 web parts on page: List and Custom Filter. Is there a way to set List (XsltListViewWebPart) as sefault ribbon context, so user cant even switch it?

I know that isn't right thing to do, but requirement is requirement.

You can use the JavaScript here: http://ikarstein.wordpress.com/2010/06/15/how-to-activate-sharepoint-ribbon-tab-by-javascript-code/ to set the ribbon tab.

There really isn't anyway to lock or hide the other ribbon tabs.
