Go to support.dell.com -enter the service tag or select the model number-select webcam drivers for windows 7 or vista.- install the drivers and the issue will be resolved.
Also make sure all your updates are installed like service pack 1.

There is no exclamation mark in device manager and its builtin webcam. Drivers are properly installed. Initially it was working proplery but from the last few days its not working now. I have uninstall and reinstall it again.
Which software are you using to check the webcam. Did u check in ymesg webcam option....webcam should show under imaging devices in device manager.

The problem could be due a hard ware issue or software driver.
From your observations sounds like its a software issue.
Assuming your hardware is OKie try to do the following to
reinstall the webcam drivers
Go to the device manager and look for imaging devices.
Delete the imaging device off and shut down the machine.
On boot up windows will detect the imaging device and reload
the necessary drivers.
Use skype and test your webcam.

i have tried clean reboot but issue still not resolved. I have uninstall the drivers and than restart and than again it automatcially installed the webcam drivers and still webcam is not working.
Create a new user account..restart the computer...login under the new account and then check your webcam.
This is just a test account to find out whether its corrupted user profile...pl try it.

I have checked using other account. Still same issue
Go to device manager- and double click the webcam driver-select details tab- select hardware ids from list - and post the ven and dev ids.
