Missign Conntact from Exchange

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my question. Your expertise is appreciated and valued.

Scenario is:

A user claims a contact from her list disappeared. They swear up and down that it used be in their contact list. They use Exchange 03. Her contact list is synced between her outlook on her office pc, home pc and blackberry.

Is there a way to search for a missing contact on the exchange server?
Or a way to look up accidentally deleted contacts, it could have been deleted from outlook or blackberry by accident?

This whole thing sounds strange b/c how can just one contact disappear unless it was deleted accidentally? I can understand bunch or even the whole list, but just one. Kind of sounds like user error to me... But then again you never know....?

Any input would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance....

I would log into her account and check her deleted items and then if it is enabled try recovery deleted items.
Check the user's deleted items folder, on the chance it was deleted from the outlook client.
Check deleted item recovery if it is enabled in your environment.
From the contacts, do a search.
From the contacts, check the view settings and make sure there isn't a filter applied (View Menu...Current View...).
Would it be easier to restore the one contact from backup?
