I have two servers, the main one is a SBS 2008 running an Exchange Server 2007; I have another one Windows Server 2003 R2. The SBS 2008 was setup by another tech and I am trying to set up Windows Server 2003.

I installed today the BES on the Windows Server 2003 and I ran into a lot of problems, right now It is telling me that "Couldn't initialize the Microsoft Exchange Server MAPI client. ................." and I am not sure what to put to fill in the blanks.

I am hoping someone can provide me with a set by step guide or anything!

I think you would be better off installing it on the SBS. See the link below. 2003 R2 SP2 is supported but not recommended.

I don't want to over exhaustion the resources on the SBS, since the physical memory is at 75%. windows 2003 is an old one but newly imaged.

I could understand that. You will need that Mapi Client. Are you using the latest version of BES. We are talking about BlackBerry ® Enterprise Server Express right?

You should be good to go.

Just an FYI: If this is your first time installing RIM may offer you one free support call. They have in the past with me.

what I think I have to do is copy the MAPI file off the exchange and paste it into BES server, and I am not sure how to do that or find the MAPI in my SBS
