Good Documentation to Learn AIX

Can anyone point me to good documentation for a beginner to learn AIX? I am familiar with UNIX (basic commands and understand file system structure). Thanks experts.

Hi,

first of all, there are tha AIX Infocenters:

6.1:  http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/aix/v6r1/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.aix.doc/doc/base/aixinformation.htm

5.3: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/pseries/v5r3/index.jsp

There is the developerworks community, with much useful inormation:

http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/aix/

particularly the Technical Library:

http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/views/aix/libraryview.jsp?type_by=Tutorials

There are the IBM Redbooks, covering selected topics in depth:

http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/portals/unix

There is a nice collection of AIX commands:

http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/aix/library/au-dutta_cmds.html

Another quite agile community portal:

http://www.rootvg.net/

Have fun with AIX, the best proprietary Unix on the planet!
