Hey everyone, I got a major problem here, back on 3/1/2011 we did our Exchange 2007 to 2010 migration, and today, I'm getting a lot of problems due to our disk being full.  After taking a look, I see we have a TON of log files:

47,219 Logs totaling 46.1GB's on the First day
20,134 Logs totaling 19.6GB's on the Second day

My question is this.  I can simply delete these logs, or do I first need to run some database management applets or similar task?

Do you have backups configured on Exchange 2010 servers?
Is log truncation happening after sucessfull bakup?

yeah, that was the thought I had right after posting this.  i'm working on getting our backup solution installed on the new server as I'm type this.  It was still running on the 2007 system, which also needs to be gracefully removed from the org. as we don't plan on keeping the 2007 system around, but doing a second 2010 system.  Here's hoping that the backup solution will get these logs under control quickly.

Yes.. Make sure that the drive is not getting full as it may lead database to dismount.
And get the backups running quickly.

If you are having a difficult situation where drive is reaching its full capacity, move the old transaction logs to a different drive where you have space.

Good luck
