OWA Broken after failed Exchange 2007 SP3 Install

Hi all,

I'm pretty much at the end of my tether with 2008 SBS, no matter what I do it finds a new and unique way of letting me down spectacularly.

I recently attempted an installation of Exchange SP3 on a Server 2008 SBS server and it promptly got stuck at transport hub counters (or words to that effect) I left if for 30 hours but it was clearly going nowhere and there was no way of politely asking it to stop so had to end the update installer process.

Unfortunately have just found out that OWA is now broken as a result.  Access is broken internally and externally.

When I go into IIS and try to look at the Exchange and Exchweb directories I get an IIS error Could not find a part of the path "\\.\BackOfficeStorage\domain.local\ExchWeb" or \Exchange.

It seems the virtual directories have been wiped out, as I'm not very good with IIS I was hoping one of you clever people could perhaps talk me through setting this up again please?

Many thanks

Adam

Go to add/remove programs in the server
(make sure u have exch DVD with u now)

Select exchange2010 and click remove
Click next.

and check CAS is ticked or not.

If it is ticked remove(uninstall) and retart the server.

Then insert the dvd and double click setup.com and tick the CAS and install it again.

Please let me know what happened

ASKER

Hi,

This is Server 2008 SBS running Exchange 2007 so there is no Exchange DVD as such...

Hi,

If I remove Exchange and reinstall it will it not delete the mailboxes?
You are not removing mailbox role.

You are just removing CAS. This is to make your OWA working.

This is not related to mailbox
Thanks, reinstalling CAS role worked a treat!
