Client Automatic updates doesn't work after Server migrate

After migrating from Win Server 2000 std, which has SUS configured, to the new Win Server 2008 std, WSs doesn't automaticly fetch updates.

If I click Windows Update on Win7 WS it doesn't find anything. If, after that, I click Check Updated by Microsoft Update it will find all updates.

I'm afraid that since I didn't give any thougs should I migrate something SUS related to new 2008 server the client now try to fetch updates fro the Win 2008 server which is not configured to act as SUS  or WUS (as far as I know).

Any ideas how to set clients fetch updates directly from Microsoft Updates Sites? I rather not use WUS in this 30 workers company unless someone strongly advices me to do it.

Thanks,

Juha

If this was pushed via group policies, you need to remove it there, first.

Aha

I'm not sure how it were configured. Which Policy should I check? I'm not too good with Group Policies.

Thanks,

Hi

Group Policy: We removed the internal server as the the source of the Winupdates. Now both the server aqnd the clients fetch updates automaticly.

Thanks
