Disc caching warning in SBS 2008 Event Viewer

I see this error occasionally in the event log for a SBS 2008 machine:

The driver detected that the device \Device\Harddisk0\DR0 has its write cache enabled. Data corruption may occur.

Does this refer to the main drive in the system?  What is the resolution?

    Accepted Solution

Windows cannot tell if the controller has a battery installed that will keep the cache viable untill the contents can be written to disk in case of power failure.  If you have a good UPS on the system, OR, if the controller has an active battery installed, you can ignore the warning.
