Backup Exec 2010

I have a full backup of my File server on a Saturday.
I then have a incremental backup during the week.
Is there any point in backing up the system state, Utility Partition & shadow copy componebts during the incremental.

Depends on how much you want to recover. With what you have right now, you would be able to recover lost files from any day, but changes to the security state of the machine (local accounts, for example) would only be saved on Saturday.

Utility partition probably isn't required at all. It never changes.

Now having said all that, on a file server the system state usually isn't too big. So backing it up every day couldn't hurt. Particularly if you are using data depduplication on a disk based backup.

Whatever you choose, assuming this is for business, just make sure the people who own the server have signed off on what is covered in backup and what isn't.
