I often browse websites and find that I often spend time clicking on links to open and go to them

Is there a way to configure Firefox to open by hovering over the link?

This is not a feature that is available.  It might seem that you're wasting time by clicking but if your mouse opened everything you hovered it over.  You would waste more time with the hover ability than with clicking.  You would be wasting time closing things that you didn't mean to open and you would waste more time making sure you didn't hover your mouse over anything that would open.

There are other ways to make browsing more efficient.  Such as this addon called KwiClick where you can do multiple things within the same page that you are on.  Just check out the Add ons and see if there's any more that might help you.

    Good Luck HTH.
