Migrating from office 2003 to 2010 on terminal server

What is the best way to install office 2010 on a terminal server that has office 2003 installed on it.  Microsoft suggests removing office 2003 first and then installing office 2010.  My concern is the migration of the TS users outlook profiles.  If I uninstall 2003 first will the users have the same permissions to shared calendars, contacts, and tasks?  Will they still have the same rules setup and will there signatures still be there after the installation of office 2010?

Outlook doesn't control mailbox permissions.  Exchange (or your email server) does.  Also, the MAPI profiles and associated rules should not be negated by uninstalling Office.  The method of removing the old and installing the new should work fine.

Will i need to re-setup email signatures under each users profile?  We have exchange 2007.. that's what I thought about the shared items I just needed conformation .. thank you

Also ..What is the proper procedure to import the .NK2 files from the users profiles into there outlook 2010?  So there auto complete name list will work in outlook 2010.

You should not need to set up signatures again.  N2K is auto-imported by Outlook 2010:

Do I need to uninstall office 2003 any special way off the terminal server so it uninstalls across all profiles or can I just go to add remove programs and remove it?  I know when I install anything on the terminal server I need to do the change user/install switch.

Uninstall doesn't have any special switches I can find, nor do I remember using them for Office in the past....
