No application access through ISA Server 2004 - unidentified traffic

We have problem with a web based app (external) that our internal users are trying to access via the ISA server.  Although we have several rules to allow the traffic, and nothing in the monitor shows as being denied, the connection fails just as the Java app launches.  There are entries in ISA monitor that indicate "unidentified traffic" headed for the ISA address on port 8080 - connection closed.  However, nothing to indicate that the external address is being blocked.

Please assist in tracking down the fault.  We are using MSDE file logging and I am not sure of the best way to view the logs properly.

Thank you in advance for your help.

My colleague has managed to solve this - the app was attempting to open an SSL tunnel on a port other than 443.  The ISA server does not allow this by default, and we were obliged to use a utility to add the port to the config.

www.isatools.org then the ISA TPRE tool from the ISA 2004 section.  Of course this is a calculated security risk, but it seems there is little choice sometimes!
thanks for your response!
you are welcome:)
