My colleague has managed to solve this - the app was attempting to open an SSL tunnel on a port other than 443. &nbsp;The ISA server does not allow this by default, and we were obliged to use a utility to add the port to the config.<br />

We have problem with a web based app (external) that our internal users are trying to access via the ISA server. &nbsp;Although we have several rules to allow the traffic, and nothing in the monitor shows as being denied, the connection fails just as the Java app launches. &nbsp;There are entries in ISA monitor that indicate &quot;unidentified traffic&quot; headed for the ISA address on port 8080 - connection closed. &nbsp;However, nothing to indicate that the external address is being blocked.<br />

Please assist in tracking down the fault. &nbsp;We are using MSDE file logging and I am not sure of the best way to view the logs properly.<br />
