antivirus for usb flash drives

I am looking for a somewhat cheap solution for antivirus on a usb flash drive. i want to the software to autorun when the flashdrive is inserted to the pc. I dont have hundreds of dollars around to buy ironkeys. just something cheaper and basic is fine. The U3 drives and the avast software worked fine enough but it is hard to come across U3 compatible drives.
what is everyone using?

Have a read through this article from Trend.
There are a variety of "Anti-Virus" applications you can chose from, but full protection will include a few more steps.

You could also check out Flash_Disinfector.exe, it disinfects when the drive is already infected and also creates a harmless autorun.inf folder in each drives so any malware won't be able to create bad autorun.inf file. The bogus autorun.inf it created has system attributes so malware can't easily delete it.

OR, check out USB-Set
It's a program that helps users configure their PC in order to limit the risk of spreading infections by removable media between your PC and these media.

It lets you adjust Windows Autorun and AutoPlay functions, enable/disable the recognition of such devices, vaccinate the connected supports, install the resident that will vaccinate removable storage device inserted.
Vaccination tab lets you control the vaccination of all your PC drives.
