SMB Performance Enhancements / WIndows Server 2003
I am looking into any and all ways to speed up file transfer using SMB, over a VPN. Data is being copied back and forth via SMB between a Windows Server 2003 and a Cisco NAS device.
The only thing I can recomend would be to beef up what ever type of connection between point A & point B for your VPN. Inside your LAN there are a few things you could try such as making sure the NICs & the switch ports are set to 100/full duplex.
