How to register Cisco 7961 with 2 SIP servers at once.

We need to configure the 2nd line button of a 7961 configured with asterisk to point to another server.  One would think the "proxy" label would do it, but it seems to be ignoring it.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi there, so you are using the 'proxy2_port' line in your SIPDefault.cnf? Or even in your SIP<MAC>.cnf file? Check out this pages in case it helps:

The reference you sent was with regards to the 7960, not the 7961.  The 2 phones in question have a completely different configuration structure.  FYI, our configuration works just fine with the few 7960's we have.
