I'm have microsoft online services and I'm using Outlook for Mac.

On my mac at home I'm getting a message that is saying Outlook was redirected to to the server search5.comcast.com to get new settings for your account. Do you want to allow this server to configure your settings.

I've attached a screenshot.

what does this mean?, should I allow or deny?

I also use Cable Modem.  Whenever a host name does not get resolved, I get similar error message.  It get redirected to comcast to lookup the host. Try logging on to your Comcast (https://customer.comcast.com/Secure/Users.aspx) and turn the domain helper off.

If that does not work, then change your DNS and use or google DNS.
